Sian & Joe’s Relaxed Autumn Wedding at South Farm, Royston

On the 6th of October 2024, we had the absolute pleasure of capturing Sian and Joe’s beautiful wedding at the ever-charming South Farm in Royston. From start to finish, their day was bursting with colour, personality, and pure joy — the perfect laid-back celebration with just the right dose of fun and chaos (thanks, Lenny!).

A Fun, Relaxed Vibe With Personal Touches

Sian and Joe brought such a chilled energy to the day, making it feel easy, joyful and totally their own. Their little boy, Lenny, kept everyone laughing with his wild antics, adding an extra layer of realness and personality to the whole celebration.

There were loads of personal touches, from a mouthwatering cupcake cake station to a fun evening hog roast. One of our favourite moments? Each table had a designated “carver” who got to don a chef’s hat and apron to serve up their own roast dinner – an unexpected twist that had guests smiling from ear to ear.

South Farm Charm & Colourful Moments

South Farm was the dream backdrop, especially the gypsy-style lodges and vibrant caravans which made for some truly standout shots. We loved getting creative with our cameras around the grounds, capturing the warmth and whimsy of this colourful venue.

And let’s not forget the farm’s most famous residents — the pigs! Sian and Joe had a blast feeding them, and it made for some seriously fun, unexpected photos.

Autumn Sunshine & Warm Speeches

Despite being an October wedding, the sun came out in full force, lighting up the golden leaves and adding that warm, autumnal glow to every frame. The speeches were relaxed and heartfelt, full of sweet words and genuine emotion – the perfect reflection of Sian and Joe’s energy.

The evening ended with sparklers, dancing, and all-round good vibes. We had a full team from Capture House Weddings on site — two photographers, two videographers, and a drone to top it all off. It was one of those weddings where we didn’t want to leave, because it just felt that good.
