This was our first time photographing at Smeetham Hall and it was a venue that didn't disappoint in the slightest. We first met Grace & Lewis about a year ago, over a beer at The Flitch House, and when they told us their wedding was festival themed we were super excited! We got to know Grace & Lewis pretty well before their wedding day and went to Hatfield Forest for their awesome engagement shoot in the spring.
The day started with the girls getting ready at Grace's parent's house in Halsted. The garden of the house was beautiful and a great backdrop for those pre-wedding photos, with Grace's mum spending over a year getting her garden just right - she also did all of the wedding flowers for the day!
The atmosphere getting ready was relaxing and calm, until the wedding dress came on. Grace was overwhelmed with emotions as she looked at herself for the first time, she was truly a gorgeous bride.
Once the girls were ready, Sam headed over to Smeetham Hall Barn to meet the boys! Lewis was there and looking as dapper as ever. Sam had met Grace & Lewis earlier in the week to have a look round the venue, so Sam and the boys headed to a few favourite locations to get the all-important 'boy band' photos.
The ceremony was personal and beautiful with tears of joy and of course a first kiss. The ceremony was followed by canapes on the grounds whilst Grace & Lewis disappeared for a drive around the lanes.
The grounds were utilised on this beautiful September day with everyone laughing and joking and as the night drew in everyone moved inside the stunning marquee and barn. Smeetham Hall Barn was a pleasure to shoot a wedding at whilst Grace & Lewis were the perfect bride and groom. We wish them a lifetime of love and happiness!
